Eureka Springs Historical Museum Re-Grand Opening

May 2 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Eureka Springs Historical Museum invites you to a very special ribbon-cutting ceremony and “Grand Re-opening” celebration on Thursday, May 2 at 10am! Thanks to a generous grant from the Department of Arkansas Heritage, we will be unveiling all new permanent exhibit graphics throughout the museum, featuring beautiful mural-style printing, exciting new imagery and content, and larger, more accessible text. Tour the museum and enjoy light refreshments and music in the adjacent Calif Spring Park.

Founded more than fifty years ago in 1971, the non-profit Eureka Springs Historical Museum is located at 95 South Main Street in downtown Eureka Springs. Our mission is to collect, preserve, document, and exhibit objects of historical significance to Eureka Springs, and to present them in such a manner as to educate and inspire residents and visitors alike. Our exhibits and archives are housed in the historic Calif House, a fine three-story limestone structure built in 1889. Our collection contains over 20,000 artifacts that include photographs, travel memorabilia, art, furniture, musical instruments, documents, and textiles that date from before the founding of Eureka Springs in 1879 to contemporary times. Open daily 9:30am to 4pm, closed on Sundays and Wednesdays.

The new graphics were completed in-house by museum director Jeff Danos, with printing and installation by Edward C. Robison III of Sacred Earth Gallery. Made possible by a grant from the Department of Arkansas Heritage, funded by your 1/8 cent conservation tax, Amendment 75.
