This special concert brings internationally acclaimed Carnatic musicians to Northwest Arkansas for a rare cultural experience that celebrates tradition, artistry, and innovation.
The evening features the renowned Trichur Brothers, Srikrishna Mohan and Ramkumar Mohan, who are celebrated worldwide for their powerful vocal performances, exceptional musicianship, and deep devotion to the Carnatic tradition. Having performed across India, North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia, and New Zealand, the duo continues to inspire audiences through their masterful artistry and commitment to preserving Indian classical music.
Joining them is acclaimed percussionist R. Akshay Ram, one of today’s most accomplished mridangam artists. A recipient of the prestigious Bharat Ratna Dr. M.S. Subbulakshmi Fellowship, Akshay has accompanied more than 2,500 concerts and is widely recognized for creating the innovative Trimukhi Mridangam. This award-winning instrument, protected under the Intellectual Property Rights of the Government of India, reflects his dedication to preserving tradition while advancing musical innovation.
Completing the ensemble is distinguished violinist S. Janardhan, an ‘A’ Grade artist with All India Radio and Doordarshan. Known for his expressive accompaniment and technical brilliance, Janardhan has performed with leading Carnatic musicians throughout India and internationally while mentoring the next generation of violinists.
