SUMMARY:Shire Post Mint 2nd Annual Shire Fest
DESCRIPTION:Event: Saturday\, October 28\, 11am – 5pm\nAddress: 52 W Main St\, West Fork\, Arkansas\, 72774\nWebsite: shirepost.com | Phone Number: 479-208-7700\nFollow on Social Media: @shirepostmint on Instagram\, TikTok\, Facebook\, and Twitter \n(West Fork\, Ark) All are welcome to join us for Shire Fest from 11am to 5pm on Saturday\, October 28 at Shire Post Mint\, a local family-run fantasy coining operation located at 52 W Main St. in West Fork. This is the second public event since Shire Post Mint opened its doors to walk-in customers in October 2021 at their custom designed building including a workshop and retail space. \nVendors featured within the space\, as well as local craftspeople from around the area\, will have specialty goods for sale\, including clothes\, books\, jewelry\, beauty and wellness products\, leather\, candles\, gaming accessories\, arts\, crafts\, and more. Other performances\, games\, and activities are ongoing throughout the day as are food and drink vendors. An all-ages costume contest will be held\, and all are welcomed to attend in costume. \nThe indoor retail shop will be open\, offering a variety of hand-crafted coins—from favorite series like The Lord of the Rings and A Game of Thrones to specialty in-house designs\, like Moon Coins\, breakable Pizza Coins\, and Tooth Fairy Coins. Shire Fest also celebrates the opening of other spaces throughout our grounds and building\, as well as new permanent art pieces. \n“We had about 500 people attend last year’s event\,” said Helen Maringer\, CEO of Shire Post\, “We are excited to build on our success from last year and have an even bigger event this year!” \nShire Post Mint began in 2001 when Tom Maringer bought his first antique coin press. His techniques of hand-engraving steel dies and pressing one at a time were used in the 1800s and earlier. After a few years of research\, refinement\, and building a following\, he worked with George R.R. Martin to make custom coins made from his series A Song of Ice and Fire. Since then\, Shire Post Mint has grown into an internationally-recognized company known for attention to detail and a high level of craftsmanship.
