SUMMARY:Opera in the Ozarks Presents Candide\, The Marriage of Figaro\, Suor Angelica\, & Gianni Schicchi
DESCRIPTION:Candide\, Leonard Bernstein’s satirical operetta based on Voltaire’s novella\, follows the naive Candide as he endures a whirlwind of disasters—war\, earthquake\, shipwreck\, slavery—while clinging to his tutor Dr. Pangloss’s lesson that this is “the best of all possible worlds”. He travels the globe searching for his love\, Cunegonde\, facing absurdity and cruelty. He eventually learns from his harrowing experiences (and meeting a wise old farmer) that true contentment comes from simple\, practical work\, famously summarized as “we must cultivate our garden”. \nLe nozze di Figaro (The Marriage of Figaro) \, Mozart’s timeless comedy\, follows Figaro and Susanna\, servants to Count Almaviva\, on their wedding day. It is a day filled with schemes as they try to outwit the philandering Count\, who wants Susanna for himself\, and a vengeful Marcellina\, to whom Figaro owes money. The story culminates in a night of mistaken identities\, disguises\, and forgiveness\, where the Count’s plots unravel\, exposing his infidelities\, and the lovers ultimately get their happy ending. \nSuor Angelica & Gianni Schicchi\nThis is an evening of two one-act plays by Puccini. Suor Angelica (Sister Angelica) is a tragic one-act opera about a noblewoman forced into a convent after bearing an illegitimate child. Angelica lives in grief and longing for her son until her cruel aunt visits and reveals the boy died years ago. After a moment of despair and attempted suicide\, Angelica is granted a vision of the Virgin Mary and her son\, allowing her to die in peace. Gianni Schicchi is a comedy about greedy Florentine relatives who\, after their wealthy patriarch Buoso Donati dies\, discover he left his fortune to monks. This prompts them to hire the cunning Gianni Schicchi to impersonate Buoso and rewrite the will. Schicchi cleverly bequeaths the best parts to himself and his daughter Lauretta (who loves Donati’s nephew Rinuccio)\, teaching the family a lesson in greed with severe penalties for fraud.

SUMMARY:New Era Intuition: Exploring Your Natural Intuitive Abilities
DESCRIPTION:New Era Intuition: Exploring Your Natural Intuitive Abilities\nTickets available at: https://thequantumi.com/products/new-era-intuition \nEveryone has experienced moments of knowing that seem to arrive before logic can explain them; a gut feeling\, an unexpected insight\, a vivid dream\, or a sense that turns out to be accurate. In this interactive 3-hour workshop\, you’ll explore practical techniques for recognizing\, developing\, and strengthening your natural intuitive abilities in a grounded and supportive environment. \nAcross the globe\, many people are reporting a heightened sense that something is changing. Whether experienced as a shift in consciousness\, an acceleration of life\, or a growing awareness of our interconnectedness\, these changes invite us to engage with ourselves and the world in new ways. As external conditions become increasingly dynamic\, many are finding that the old habit of looking outside themselves for answers is no longer enough. The invitation of this moment is to develop an internal compass—one rooted in direct experience\, self-trust\, and intuitive knowing. As we navigate a rapidly changing world\, intuition can become a valuable guide\, helping us move forward with greater clarity\, confidence\, and alignment. \nThe experience begins with a guided sensory awareness meditation designed to help you tune into subtle perceptions and establish a clearer connection with your own inner guidance. From there\, you’ll participate in a variety of individual and group exercises that encourage curiosity\, sharpen awareness\, and provide opportunities to practice intuitive perception in real time. \nYou’ll also receive instruction and hands-on experience with popular intuitive tools\, including pendulums and tarot/oracle cards. Whether you’re completely new to these tools or have some experience\, you’ll learn practical ways to use them as instruments for reflection\, insight\, and personal exploration. \nThroughout the workshop\, participants will have the opportunity to share observations\, ask questions\, and engage in a moderated group discussion about intuition\, perception\, and the many ways intuitive information can present itself in everyday life. \nIf you’ve ever wondered whether you can trust your instincts\, sensed there may be more to perception than the five physical senses\, or simply want to explore intuition in a practical and engaging way\, this workshop is for you. \nThink of it as a hands-on intuition laboratory—part personal exploration\, part skill-building\, and just a little bit like attending a real-world version of a Hogwarts class for intuitive development. \nDuration: 3 hours \nDress: comfortable\, loose fitting clothing; socks recommended
