Check out our fall color! Autumn is here in Northwest Arkansas and the month of November is the perfect time to indulge in a bit of seasonal fun.
Here are some of this month’s special events, activities and experiences — all taking place during the region’s peak season of fall color.
In November, visit NWA’s Veterans Wall of Honor, attend one of the many stage productions at our up-to-the minute theaters and arts venues. Or soar in style over breathtaking views of the Ozarks from a helicopter sky tour. It’s all happening in NWA in November!
Fall Foliage Tours – Scenic Excursion Train
Arkansas & Missouri Railroad, Springdale
Two words: Fall color! Get your camera ready for the peak autumn color as your excursion train breezes over the Boston Mountains from Springdale to Van Buren and back. Select dates in the fall.
11/11: Eureka Springs Veterans Day Parade
Historic Downtown
Every year this parade and celebration gets bigger and better! Come join the town of Eureka Springs in honoring area veterans, members of the military and their families.
Northwest Arkansas Veterans Wall of Honor
Bella Vista
This always-open monument honoring those who served connects the names of more than 4,000 veterans from all branches of the service, to their points on a historical timeline of U.S. military conflicts.
11/11: First Friday Bentonville: Toyland
Downtown Square
Walmart toy vendors set up toys from their latest lines around historic downtown Bentonville square — which gives Mom and Dad plenty of time to make their holiday shopping decisions!
11/16: Fayetteville Half Marathon
University of Arkansas
Choose between the 13.1-mile half, a 5K, 10K or the Fun Run/Walk. Stay for food, drink and socializing afterward.
11/23: Kessler Trail Run
Kessler Mountain Regional Park, Fayetteville
The popular 10K and 5K runs are sponsored by the Fayetteville Natural Heritage Association.
11/23: Turkey Trot 5K Run Downtown Siloam Springs
Registration begins in October for this 5K, followed by a one-mile Fun Run begins.
