Crisp air and vibrant fall color set the stage as NWA hosts a season full of fun, competitive bike races and rides on award-winning trails!
Come, feel the love and camaraderie of one of the progressive cycling communities in the nation when you take part in races and rides along NWA’s premier cycling infrastructure, which includes:
- 250+ miles of off-road bike trails, including singletrack ranked by the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA)
- Bike parks, tracks and courses, including the largest asphalt pump track in North America
- Miles upon miles of premier paved shared-use trails

SEPT. 14 – NWA MOUNTAIN BIKE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Devil’s Den State Park – Celebrate 31 years of mountain biking in Northwest Arkansas! This cross-country race at Devil’s Den State Park – the birthplace of Arkansas mountain biking – started in 1989, and always draws a friendly crowd with plenty of spectators. Includes group rides, camping, cookouts and qualifying events for the Arkansas Mountain Bike Championship Series.
SEPT. 21-22 – ARKANSAS ENDURO SERIES
Coler Mountain Bike Preserve, Bentonville – The fifth and final stop on the statewide enduro series wraps up at the coveted Coler Mountain Bike Preserve. Five minutes from downtown, Coler’s pristine 300-acre site is a mountain biker’s dream! Don’t forget the pre-race party with food, music and fun.
OCT. 5-6 – FAYETTE-CROSS 2019
Centennial Park, Fayetteville – International cyclocross racing is coming to Fayetteville’s Centennial Park, the future site of the 2022 UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships. Located at Millsaps Mountain, Centennial Park will host this two-day event on the USA Cycling’s American Cyclocross Calendar (ACXC). Racers of all levels are welcome! *photo: @rakesh.pulapu
OCT. 11-13 – OZ TRAILS OFF-ROAD
Bentonville & Bella Vista – Choose from three distance options along NWA’s finest singletrack, double track and paved trails during this three-day series with festivities. Off trail, mingle with other bike-minded enthusiasts while enjoying the Greater Bentonville area’s New American Town vibe.
OCT. 20 – ARKANSAS NICA RACE
Coler Mountain Bike Preserve – Hundreds of young athletes and spectators turn out for this student mountain-bike race series hosted by the Arkansas Interscholastic Cycling League. The league serves youth grades 6 through 12.
OCT. 18-19 – GPP GROWLER GRINDER GRAVEL RACE
Bentonville – Gravel grinding rocks! This course takes riders out of town along unpaved and farm roads across Northwest Arkansas with little to no vehicle traffic, offering fine scenic views of the Ozarks.
OCT. 25-27 – OUTERBIKE
Bentonville – A massive bike demo event with daily shuttled rides and plenty of opportunities to hang out and drink beer with friends. One of only four Outerbike events across the U.S. this year!
OCT. 26 – LEWIS & CLARK URBAN ADVENTURE RIDE
Springdale – Kid friendly! Spend the day exploring area paved trail systems with family and friends. You pick the distance and enjoy the ride. Great prizes and food upon return to Lewis and Clark Outfitters.
NOV. 16-17 – PUMP CROSS CRUSADE
Runway Bike Park, Springdale – Pump the tires and light the fires for the Pump Cross Crusade – an epic cyclocross race at Runway Bike Park located at the Jones Center. This course includes a little bit of everything including the Velosolutions Pump Track, the largest asphalt pump track in North America!
NOV. 23 – R.A.P.T.O.R. GRAVEL GRINDER
Mount Sequoyah Retreat Center, Fayetteville – Discover roads you didn’t even know existed! With three distance options, the course combines pavement, gravel and some singletrack thrown in for good measure. Psst – the route stays secret until the morning of the race.
NOV. 16 – THE BEAST OF BURDEN
Kessler Mountain Regional Park, Fayetteville – Hosted by Ozark Off Road Cyclists, this mountain-bike endurance race consists of four hours of solo and team relay racing. Stick around after the race for the Homegrown Music & Mountain Sports Festival.
