War Eagle Cavern
This private show cave features a natural entrance on the shores of Beaver Lake. Follow the meandering stream straight into the mountain for an easy guided tour with wide, level pathways, unique formations, two waterfalls and an underground lake. More than 100,000 bats call this cavern home, and in spring or late fall, hundreds hibernate and cling to the walls and ceilings of the cavern. Don’t miss gemstone panning, the Lost in the Woods maze, and the Moonshiners’ Mystery Shack. Open from early March to Thanksgiving weekend. Stroller and pet friendly.
