Buffalo National River
Experience towering limestone bluffs, whitewater rapids, inviting gravel bars, the Boxley Valley Historic District, Lost Valley, Indian Rockhouse and more along the country’s first national river, which begins in nearby Newton County and meanders through the Ozarks for approximately 135 miles. With more than 100 miles of public trails, there are also canoe and kayak outfitters, campsites, hiking and horseback riding trails and cabin rentals.
